Wolves and West Brom urge responsible conduct after derby disorder

Wolves and West Brom said they had worked closely with the Safety Advisory Group, local authorities and police to ensure appropriate arrangements were in place for Sunday’s Championship fixture, which kicks off at 12:00 BST.

Supporters were reminded that anyone involved in violence, discriminatory conduct, pitch or trackside incursions, throwing objects, using pyrotechnics or breaching ground regulations could face arrest, prosecution, a football banning order and long-term or permanent exclusion from the club.

The clubs urged fans to purchase tickets only through official channels and to attend in their designated home or away sections.

Anyone found attempting to enter an incorrect area or already present there would be refused entry or removed and could face further sanctions.

Supporters were also asked to arrive early enough for security checks and stadium entry procedures, comply with instructions from stewards and police, and report any unsafe, discriminatory or anti-social behaviour.

The clubs said the overwhelming majority of Albion and Wolverhampton Wanderers supporters attend the fixture to support their teams passionately and responsibly, and expressed confidence that this would continue.
