WWE has no current internal heat on Ludwig Kaiser regarding his recent battery arrest, though company sources indicate he may ultimately be released based on the information they have received, according to a new Fightful Select report.
According to Fightful Select, Marcel Barthel — known as Ludwig Kaiser — is not presently subject to any internal WWE disciplinary action over the arrest. Nevertheless, company insiders say he is likely to be terminated following the broader details of the incident.
Kaiser was arrested on a misdemeanor battery charge related to an April 24 incident in Orlando. The affidavit states that he assaulted a fellow male resident of his apartment building after the victim asked Kaiser and his female companion to “please have some manners” following alleged “uncontrollably intimate” elevator conduct. Identified via security footage and a photo lineup, Kaiser surrendered on May 20 and posted a $1,000 bond; court records list GUNTHER (real name Walter Hahn) as the bond surety. A travel‑motion filing with a state non‑objection provision has placed him on track to appear at AAA Noche de los Grandes on May 30.
Fightful’s latest report addresses a separate aspect of the story that has been circulating. Reports that Kaiser defended himself and Andrea Bazarte against alleged ICE remarks appear to have been seeded by individuals within the wrestling media community, according to Fightful sources.
“After the ICE story emerged, an unknown number contacted several wrestling media outlets with the narrative, rather than Kaiser, Andrea, or any WWE representative,” the sources said.
The internal WWE talent response has been mixed. Fightful reports that some wrestlers found the defense narrative implausible, while others argued that the 35‑year‑old should have simply removed himself from the situation rather than escalating to physical confrontation.
Separately, JBL on ‘Something to Wrestle’ voiced strong support for Kaiser, referring to the alleged victim as “a punk ass bitch” and declaring he is “100% behind Kaiser.” This stance reflects a public endorsement from a veteran AAA commentator, who is reportedly slated to become AAA GM on Saturday.
The May 30 Kaiser‑Gable mask‑vs‑mask match will represent Kaiser’s most visible public appearance since his arrest. WWE has not issued an official comment on the situation.
