Daily XRP transactions have climbed to a new six-month high above 3.7 million, signaling a recovery in network activity even as the token’s price continues to decline.
The surge arrives as XRP struggles to regain footing in October amid mounting pressure across the broader cryptocurrency market.
XRP Price Slides 13% in October
XRP faced significant selling pressure in October after posting gains between July and September. The cryptocurrency advanced from $1.0385 at the start of July to $1.4894 by the end of September, a 43.4% increase over the three-month period.
However, the asset has surrendered a portion of those gains this month, declining roughly 13% in October to trade around $1.2958, with market participants contesting the $1.28 to $1.30 range.
The pullback followed hotter-than-expected U.S. Consumer Price Index (CPI) data and coincided with a broader cryptocurrency market downturn. Despite these headwinds weighing on XRP’s price, on-chain data indicates that activity across the XRP Ledger (XRPL) has begun to recover.
XRP Transactions Surge 1,717% to Six-Month High
Data on daily XRP transactions shows network activity spiked on Oct. 25, when the XRP Ledger recorded 3,718,664 transactions. This marked the highest daily total in six months and the first time the figure surpassed 3.7 million since April 8, 2026.
The latest reading also represented a 1,717% increase from the previous day. However, this sharp rise came after daily XRP transactions plunged to just 204,582 on Oct. 24.

The unusually low figure provided a much smaller base for comparison, contributing to the dramatic percentage increase recorded the following day.
Daily XRP Transactions Recover After October Decline
The recent increase followed a gradual recovery that began after daily XRP transactions fell to approximately 1.8 million on Oct. 11. Network activity then improved, reaching 2.67 million transactions by Oct. 18.
The recovery continued over the next two days, with daily XRP transactions climbing to approximately 3.69 million on Oct. 20. However, activity began to decline afterward, with the daily count falling to 3.2 million on October 22.
The decline accelerated on Oct. 24, when the figure dropped to just 204,582 before rebounding to 3,718,664 on Oct. 25. Despite these fluctuations, the latest reading remains well above the recent average.
Specifically, the 3.7 million transactions recorded on Oct. 25 exceeded the 30-day daily average of 2.5 million by approximately 48%. However, the network still has considerable ground to cover before matching its record of 6.9 million transactions set in December 2023.
Other XRPL Metrics Show Rising Network Activity
Daily XRP transactions are not the only metric signaling an increase in network activity. Daily successful transactions also climbed to approximately 3.2 million on Oct. 25, marking a new six-month high.
Transactions per ledger have also increased. The metric reached 223 on Oct. 24, its highest level in six months, before declining to 176.57 on Oct. 25. Despite the drop, the figures suggest that transaction activity across the XRP Ledger has strengthened in recent weeks.
Daily payments were the only highlighted network activity metric to decline on Oct. 25, falling to 567,438. However, this figure still represented a 2,315% increase over the previous 24 hours.
