Yorkshire have confirmed the signing of India international Kuldeep Yadav for a portion of the 2024 One-Day Cup and the concluding County Championship fixtures.
The 31-year-old left-arm wrist spinner will be available for five One-Day Cup matches before returning in September for three of the final four Championship games.
He links up with the squad immediately and is in contention for Friday’s One-Day Cup fixture against Glamorgan in Cardiff.
“I’m really pleased to be joining Yorkshire and grateful for this opportunity. It will be a real privilege to represent a club with Yorkshire’s proud history,” Yadav said.
“I’ve always enjoyed the challenge of playing in English conditions and, after speaking with the management, I became really excited to join up with the team. I’m looking forward to making a positive contribution during my time at Headingley.”
Yadav has claimed 79 wickets in 18 Test matches at a best of 5-40, including 19 scalps during the five-match series against England earlier this year.
In one-day internationals, the spinner has taken 194 wickets with a career-best 6-25, though he missed all three of India’s ODIs against England this summer.

“Given the dry summer we’ve experienced, we expect spin to play an important role during the closing stages of the season. Kuldeep gives us another dimension with his left-arm wrist spin and brings a wealth of experience at the highest level. We’re delighted to welcome him to Yorkshire.”
