Fourteen concertgoers were taken to hospitals after the Chainsmokers performed at San Jose’s Discovery Meadows on Friday evening.

The San Jose Fire Department responded to multiple medical emergencies at about 8:22 p.m., dispatching an ambulance task force, additional advanced‑life‑support units and a battalion chief. In total, 14 ambulances transported patients to local hospitals.

While the fire department did not detail the nature of the medical calls, San Jose police told NBC Bay Area that many of the incidents involved suspected alcohol intoxication and drug‑related issues. The condition of those hospitalized has not been disclosed.

The Chainsmokers completed their set without interruption and later posted a video of the performance on social media. No further comment has been released.
