A 15-year-old boy has been rescued after surviving nearly three days adrift on an overturned boat in Alaska’s freezing Bering Sea.
The teenager was found near St. Lawrence Island after Coast Guard crews launched a search when he and two relatives were reported missing.
The boy’s brother and cousin died after the small boat capsized, according to rescuers. Video shows the teenager in a bright yellow jacket clinging to the overturned vessel as the crew of a fishing boat pulled him aboard.
He was suffering from symptoms of hypothermia and was warmed with blankets and hot packs.
