Emergency services were dispatched to the Hung Hom Promenade in Hong Kong on Saturday afternoon after a recreational vessel began taking on water and sinking.
The alert came in at approximately 1:36 PM, after a nearby fisherman spotted the pleasure boat gradually submerging into the harbor waters.
Police and fire department personnel rushed to the scene, deploying specialized divers to conduct a thorough inspection of the submerged hull.
After a comprehensive search of the vessel, rescue teams confirmed that no individuals were on board at the time of the sinking.
Reports indicate that the vessel had been anchored at the location for roughly one month prior to the incident.
The exact reason why the boat began to sink has not yet been determined, and an investigation is underway.
