Every year since 1972, a small stretch of boardwalk in Brooklyn’s Coney Island becomes home to one of America’s favorite Fourth of July traditions: The Nathan’s Famous Hot Dog Eating Contest.
Surrounded by spectators in hot dog-themed costumes and the Cyclone roller coaster in the background, competitive eaters prepare for the annual event. The contest features two separate competitions: the women’s event at 10:45 a.m. ET and the men’s at 12:30 p.m. ET.
For those unable to attend, free streaming options include ESPN2, ABC, and ESPN+ via trials or subscriptions with DirecTV, Fubo, Hulu + Live TV, or Sling. DirecTV offers a five-day free trial, Fubo $30 off the first month, and Hulu + Live TV a three-day trial. Sling provides short-term passes for ESPN coverage.
Joey Chestnut, the 18-time champion, returns to defend his record of 76 hot dogs eaten in 10 minutes. The contest typically features 20 participants and draws global attention.
