Eric Bischoff expressed enthusiasm during his appearance on 83 Weeks, lauding Kofi Kingston and Austin Creed for injecting vitality into their partnership known as New Level following their high-energy debut on All In: London. Teaming with Swerve Strickland, the duo claimed victory in the Trios Rubble Royale, securing the AEW World Trios Championship on their inaugural night, marked by their entrance to a licensed hip hop track.

Reflecting on earlier reactions to the alliance, Bischoff articulated a preference for innovation over inheritance. “I would rather attempt something entirely different… breaking clean from a previous character and establishing a new one,” Bischoff declared. “People don’t like derivatives. They favor authenticity over a shadow of the past. I haven’t criticized their decision; the business incentives were valid. However, I personally prefer not to be tethered to a legacy, choosing instead to build something truly distinct from scratch.”

Turning to roster management, Bischoff noted that sustaining the team’s momentum likely depends on Tony Khan’s long-term creative commitments. If the organization focuses solely on cycling bright, new talent without investing in sustained narratives, those performers often vanish quickly. Conversely, if the team were able to cultivate and support New Level over time, Bischoff saw potential for the new faction to resonate deeply with audiences due to their dynamic presence on the ring and outside.

Drawing a parallel to his own tenure in wrestling, Bischoff contrasted the current strategy with past industry models. Comparing himself to WCW’s history, he criticized the tendency to rely on quick fixes or imitations of proven successes, arguing that true success requires substantial investment and expert craftsmanship in character development.
