Luke Shaw has been a permanent fixture at left‑back for the Red Devils, starting every Premier League game since the start of last season. However, Carrick is likely to keep him on the bench for the mid‑week European tie to manage his workload amid the busy schedule.
Shaw missed training earlier today due to fatigue and may only appear as a substitute, allowing Dorgu to take the left‑back position from the start.
