Former Liverpool striker Mohamed Salah has been handed a six‑month driving ban after his Rolls‑Royce was caught speeding.
Court documents show that Salah did not identify the driver when his Rolls‑Royce was captured by a speed camera travelling at 36 mph (58 km/h) on a 30 mph (48 km/h) stretch of road in Wilmslow, Cheshire, on 27 March.
The 34‑year‑old failed to respond to the prosecution notice issued by Cheshire Police and did not enter a plea.
He was sentenced to a six‑month driving ban and ordered to pay £1,044 at Warrington Combined Court.
According to a court spokeswoman, Salah was prosecuted under the Single Justice Procedure—a private magistrates’ hearing—and was convicted of failing to provide information needed to identify the driver of the Rolls‑Royce.
The speeding offence occurred just days after the Egypt captain announced his departure from Liverpool after nine seasons with the club.
At his departure announcement on 24 March, the club described him as having “firmly established himself as one of the greatest players in Liverpool’s history”.
During his tenure, Salah scored 257 goals in 442 appearances for Liverpool before moving to Turkish club Trabzonspor at the end of the 2025‑26 season.
