The Miami Dolphins will take the field against the Kansas City Chiefs on Sunday without one of their primary offensive weapons. Head coach Jeff Hafley confirmed Friday that rookie wide receiver Caleb Douglas has been ruled out due to an ankle injury.
Douglas, a third-round selection, has made an immediate impact this season. He currently shares the team lead with seven receptions and paces the roster with 113 receiving yards through the first two weeks. His absence leaves Malik Washington, Chris Bell, Jalen Tolbert, and Kevin Coleman as the available options at the position for Miami.
Adding to the injury concerns, Hafley designated running back and return specialist Jaylen Wright as doubtful. Wright has been limited throughout the week of practice while managing a foot injury and a stinger.
