Real American Freestyle Abu Dhabi, the first RAF event in the Middle East, will be headlined by Khamzat Chimaev and Colby Covington as the two compete for the Cruiserweight Crossover Championship. The event is scheduled for Saturday, November 14, at Etihad Arena on Yas Island.
Chimaev, a global combat sports star who has competed under the UAE flag since 2023, will perform before his home crowd and bring his aggressive style to a clash against Covington. Covington, a two-time NCAA All-American wrestler, former interim MMA champion and one of RAF’s most dominant performers, enters the title fight undefeated in the promotion, as does Chimaev.
World-class wrestling and combat sports athletes Arman Tsarukyan, Henry Cejudo, Jordan Burroughs, Kyle Snyder and Abdulrashid Sadulaev will also compete in Abu Dhabi, with their opponents and additional matchups to be revealed in the coming weeks.
The inaugural RAF Abu Dhabi card marks the beginning of a five-year partnership between Real American Freestyle, the Department of Culture and Tourism – Abu Dhabi, and the UAE Wrestling Federation. It follows RAF’s international events in Tbilisi, Georgia, and Moscow, Russia, as the promotion continues to expand its global professional wrestling platform.
Additional bout announcements, event-week programming and broadcast information will be released in due course.
