The complimentary policy extension will remain in effect until October 6, or until the passenger returns to Israel, whichever comes first.
Flydubai confirmed that the extension is applied automatically, requiring no action from customers.
“This temporary suspension enables authorities to complete their investigation and gather all relevant facts,” Flydubai stated in a Wednesday release following the incident. “We are cooperating closely with government agencies, regulators, and airport partners, and will reassess the suspension as further information becomes available.”
The statement came after the Shin Bet (Israel Security Agency) recommended suspending flights between the United Arab Emirates and Israel until the investigation advances.
Israeli airlines have begun providing repatriation flights for affected passengers, with the inaugural flight operated by Arkia arriving in Israel on Saturday.
