Geordie Greep has cancelled five upcoming U.S. concerts following a sexual misconduct allegation that he addressed onstage in Vancouver earlier this week.
The former Black Midi frontman was scheduled to continue his North American tour with stops in Boise (October 9), Salt Lake City (October 10), Boulder (October 12), Denver (October 13), and Omaha (October 14). All five dates have now been scrapped. As of publication, only a single U.S. date—Des Moines on October 15—remains on the calendar, alongside a European leg set to begin November 1 in Nijmegen with additional shows across France, Spain, and Portugal. Greep has not released a public statement regarding the cancellations.
The decision follows his onstage response to the allegation at Vancouver’s The Pearl on Thursday, October 8. Before the show, an attendee distributed flyers labeling Greep a rapist and referencing an incident alleged to have occurred that morning; the flyers provided no further detail.
Greep took the stage without his backing band and spoke directly to the crowd. He explained that he and members of his touring party had gone out after a previous show, ending up at a house party late that night.

“Essentially, what happened last night, [was that] me and some of the band went out to some bars, we went out, we met people, and it ended up in a situation really late at a house party,” he said. “I got the wrong end of the stick with someone who was there, and I made a move, and it didn’t come off. I really quickly apologised, and it was a complete misunderstanding on my part, and I felt extremely bad, I feel extremely sorry, and extremely upset about the situation.
“I would never rape a woman. I’m not a rapist. It’s not how that went down.”
Greep said he performed solo because he did not want to pressure his bandmates to play given the circumstances. “It’s a very strange thing to have happened and a very scary thing, so all of the band, I understand that I didn’t want to force them to still play a show in the light of that happening. We were unsure what the response would be to all this, and I can only tell you that it’s OK if people want refunds, if they want to leave, it’s fine.”
He added that proceeds from the Vancouver show would be donated to an anti-violence organization in British Columbia. “I just wanted to be transparent with you about what happened,” he continued. “I’m very, very, very sorry; I made someone uncomfortable without meaning to. It’s not a good thing, it’s not good.” Greep then performed a shortened solo set.
Greep launched his solo career after Black Midi’s indefinite hiatus in 2024, releasing his debut album The New Sound later that year.
