Sen. Darline Graham (R-South Carolina) clashed with Democrat Annie Andrews in their sole scheduled debate for the unexpectedly competitive Senate race.
Graham, who was appointed to fill her brother Lindsey Graham’s seat after his July death, maintained strong support for President Donald Trump while characterizing Andrews as a “radical liberal.” Andrews, a pediatrician, argued Graham is unqualified for the role and sought to attract independent and Republican voters in a state that hasn’t elected a Democrat to the Senate since 1998.
