The wave of student protests in France has entered its fourth week, gaining fresh momentum, as reported by BBC journalist James Waterhouse.
Nationwide demonstrations are being held to protest inadequate classroom conditions, such as aging facilities, teacher shortages, and overcrowded schools. The action has disrupted education across the country, forcing the closure of hundreds of lycées, which are secondary schools for students aged 15‑18.
In Paris, student demonstrators told the BBC they have yet to achieve their goals and that ceasing the protests now would amount to a defeat.
