The Jets have been missing several skill‑position players on offense lately, but rookie wide receiver Omar Cooper is set to be back on the practice field Wednesday. Coach Aaron Glenn announced that Cooper, the team’s first‑round pick, has been cleared to return from injured reserve after missing the season opener with an ankle injury. Cooper was injured on his solitary catch of the Jets’ victory over the Titans, a 30‑yard reception that helped set up a touchdown by fellow first‑rounder Kenyon Sadiq. While the Jets are hopeful he could be ready for this weekend’s game against the Patriots, starting running back Breece Hall and wide receiver Adonai Mitchell will remain week‑to‑week. Hall has missed two contests with a quad strain, and Mitchell, who has been out three games, is still recovering from a finger injury that required surgery.
