The Israel Defense Forces announced the elimination of three Hamas Nukhba operatives in recent strikes across the Gaza Strip, including a terrorist directly involved in the abduction of Israeli civilians during the October 7 massacre.
Ahmed Muhammad Ahmed Baraka, a Nukhba fighter in Hamas’s military wing, was killed in southern Gaza. The military identified him as a key participant in the infiltration of Kibbutz Nir Oz, where he took part in kidnapping residents, including Alexander Dancyg.
According to the IDF, Baraka was also responsible for guarding hostages during the war, among them Nimrod Cohen, who was held in the southern Gaza Strip.
In a separate operation in northern Gaza, the military confirmed the deaths of two additional Nukhba operatives: platoon commander Omar Awadallah and terrorist Moataz Mahmoud Mohammed Al-Nimr.
The IDF stated that both men were actively working to rebuild Hamas’s military capabilities while planning and executing advanced attacks against Israeli soldiers and civilians.
The military emphasized that prior to the strikes, precautions were taken to minimize civilian harm, including the use of precision munitions and aerial surveillance.
