New England Patriots wide receiver A.J. Brown has been limited in practice due to an ankle injury that previously led to a four-game stint on injured reserve, affecting his performance upon return.
In his first two games back, Brown recorded six catches on 16 targets, admitting he’s still not performing at his desired explosive level. He explained, “Sometimes I see it and sometimes I’m pushing through,” emphasizing that his injury isn’t an excuse for his play.
Brown stated, “I’m trying to put my best foot forward. I know I’m working through something, but there’s no excuse. I made none in the first week. The only thing I can control is how I approach it. I don’t view it as positive or negative—it’s just information.”
With the Patriots having an extra day off following their Thursday game, there’s anticipation that Brown’s production could improve when the team faces the Miami Dolphins this weekend.
