Civil defence authorities reported that a Russian air strike in the Zaporizhzhia region of Ukraine killed at least 24 people on Monday.
President Volodymyr Zelensky said on social media that an additional five individuals were injured when the attack struck a school serving as a humanitarian aid distribution centre in Komyshuvakha.
He described the bombing as an “utterly horrific” assault, noting that the settlement had been hit multiple times by aerial bombs throughout the day.
