Nikki Bella has opened up about a creative concept she proposed for an Italian‑themed segment at WWE Clash in Italy that was ultimately rejected.
During a recent episode of The Nikki & Brie Show, Bella described a light‑hearted vignette series that would have paired WWE talents—including Gunther, Oba Femi, Penta, The Judgment Day, and the Women’s Tag Team Champions—with an “Emily in Paris” aesthetic, using the Italian phrase “Ciao Bella” as a thematic anchor.
“I pitched an idea called ‘Ciao Bella,’” Bella explained. “Imagine a pre‑show or commercial piece for a premium live event where I’m on a scooter with Danhausen, the scarf whipping in my face. I’d share a moment with Brie and Paige, enjoy a spritz with the tag‑team champions, then take a gondola ride with Gunther, who would stare straight ahead. I’d pose for a selfie with Oba while sharing gelato, and Judgment Day would dramatically knock the treat out of our hands.”
“These fun, Italy‑inspired scenarios gave me that ‘Emily in Paris’ vibe. I even imagined a romantic spaghetti dinner with Penta. The team liked the concept and moved forward, but the plan never materialized.”
Neither Nikki Bella nor Brie nor Paige were included in the official Clash in Italy match card. Bella endured an ankle injury in March, which has kept her sidelined. She previously hinted at a possible comeback at Night of Champions on June 27 in Riyadh, Saudi Arabia.
