Erez Israeli, chief executive of Dr. Reddy’s, told the BBC that the company has submitted applications for its generic GLP‑1 drug in more than 80 markets, including the United States. While the product is already approved in Canada, Israeli said it is expected to reach South America, Africa and most of Asia soon. However, the generic will not be launched in the U.S., the United Kingdom or Europe at this time.
