QUETTA: The Balochistan government has suspended two officials of the Services and General Administration Department (S&GAD) and ordered an inquiry into the Wahdat Colony incident, in which Muhammad Asif allegedly killed his wife and four children before taking his own life.
An FIR was registered on the complaint of Zarif Khan Gorgage, the deceased man’s brother, under charges of murder, abetment to murder and suicide. The case named S&GAD under secretary Aftab Ahmad Jubal, his wife, driver Masood Ahmed Mengal and Small Industries Director Iqbal.
The complainant alleged that Muhammad Asif had been subjected to prolonged harassment, blackmail and psychological pressure by the accused individuals.
The Balochistan government suspended Jubal and Masood Ahmed Mengal, with Mengal later being arrested.
