Deezer Unveils AI-Powered Music Detector Across Major Streaming Services
Deezer has introduced an innovative AI music detection tool designed to analyze playlists across 20 leading streaming platforms. The solution provides users with clear insights into whether AI-generated content is present in their curated libraries.
The AI detector operates in 27 languages and has been praised for its remarkable accuracy, identifying specific indicators left by AI software. It is already being adopted by prominent platforms such as Spotify, Apple Music, YouTube Music, and Soundcloud. Deezer highlights that the tool not only detects AI tracks but also works seamlessly across diverse user bases.
Deezer CEO Alexis Lanternier emphasized the company’s commitment to transparency, stating that using AI detection is a significant step forward in accountability within the music streaming industry. The company aims to ensure users can verify the authenticity of their playlists, no matter which service they subscribe to.
Recent statistics reveal that 43% of users joining Deezer from other platforms already include AI-generated music in their playlists, with a strong demand for clear labeling. Deezer notes that nearly half of all new users have encountered such tracks, underscoring the growing influence of AI in music consumption.
