Lotte Chemical Pakistan Limited announced on Wednesday the reappointment of its Chairman of the Board and Chief Executive.
The notice was communicated to the Pakistan Stock Exchange.
Mr. Imtiaz Ahmed was reappointed as Chairman of the Board and Mr. Adnan Afridi as Chief Executive, effective 23 June 2026.
Dr. Ahmed began his career as an Assistant Professor at St. Joseph’s University in Philadelphia, where he taught for four years, before earning a Ph.D. in Business Administration from the University of Mississippi in 1990.
He brings more than 28 years of leadership experience within the petrochemical industry.
Meanwhile, Afridi boasts over 30 years of international experience in change management, business transformation, innovation, and profitability enhancement across blue‑chip companies, the public sector, and high‑growth environments.
Lotte Chemical Pakistan Limited manufactures and sells purified terephthalic acid (PTA) from its state‑of‑the‑art plant at Port Qasim, Karachi, which has an annual production capacity of 500,000 tonnes.
The facility is a key supplier to Pakistan’s domestic polyester and PET industries. It operates under a technology license from Invista Performance Technologies (IPT), sourcing feedstock from reputable international suppliers, and contributes to downstream industrial development and foreign‑exchange savings for the country.
