BBC Correspondent in Tehran Documents Massive Crowd for Funeral of Former Supreme Leader

BBC International correspondent Nawal Al Maghafi reports from Tehran, where officials anticipate that millions will attend the funeral commemorations for Ayatollah Ali Khamenei.

The former Iranian supreme leader was killed more than four months ago in strikes by the United States and Israel at the outset of the conflict.

Large crowds of mourners dressed in black have already assembled at Tehran’s Grand Mosalla Mosque, where his body lies in state before being interred in his hometown of Mashhad next Thursday.
