Mark Hamill has a good reason for not being at Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s wedding.
On Sunday, the Star Wars icon posted a photo of the newly married couple on Instagram with the caption, “Congratulations to the newlyweds!”
He joked about why he wasn’t at the ceremony, which took place Friday night at Madison Square Garden in New York, saying, “I declined to attend the wedding for a variety of personal reasons, but mainly because I wasn’t invited.”
Swift and Kelce tied the knot at MSG in front of about 1,000 invited guests from Hollywood, sports, music and more. Among the notable attendees were Brad Pitt and Inés de Ramón, Jennifer Lopez, Selena Gomez, Bradley Cooper and Gigi Hadid, Emma Stone, Reese Witherspoon, Zoë Kravitz, Mariska Hargitay and Peter Hermann, Tom Brady, Rob Gronkowski, Jack Antonoff, Gracie Abrams, Ed Sheeran and Cherry Seaborn, Benson Boone, Tate McRae, Kelsea Ballerini, Camila Cabello, Maren Morris, the Haim sisters, Swift’s longtime publicist Tree Paine, Karlie Kloss and Josh Kushner, Abigail Anderson, Tommy Hilfiger, and George Stephanopoulos.
Adam Sandler served as the officiant and performed an original song. Stevie Nicks and Paul McCartney also performed, with McCartney delivering a rendition of The Beatles’ “I Want to Hold Your Hand.”
