As noted English poet William Michael Albert Broad once said, “Too much is never enough.”
Former NFL quarterback Thomas Edward Patrick Brady Jr. embodies that philosophy daily.
Although Brady discussed seeking “balance” earlier this year, he continues to pursue lucrative opportunities, and most recently has shown interest in WWE.
During a recent appearance at Fanatics Fest, Brady expressed to WWE star Cody Rhodes his desire to step into the wrestling ring.
“I need an invitation,” Brady said, according to CBS Sports’ Shakiel Mahjouri. “I’ve been waiting for WWE president Nick Khan to devise a storyline that gets me into the mix. Retired from football, I see this as an opportunity to demonstrate that I’m still an athlete.”
The storyline appears to have been developed rapidly. On Friday, Brady slapped WWE wrestler Logan Paul.
This certainly challenges the notion of balance.
Perhaps he was referring to achieving that balance from the top rope.
