The White House came to Donald Trump’s defense following a scathing critique of the president’s handling of the Jeffrey Epstein files by Reacher actor Alan Ritchson.
“Just as President Trump has said, he’s been totally exonerated on anything relating to Epstein,” White House spokeswoman Abigail Jackson stated to Entertainment Weekly. “By releasing thousands of pages of documents, cooperating with the House Oversight Committee’s subpoena request, signing the Epstein Files Transparency Act, and calling for more investigations into Epstein’s Democrat friends, President Trump has done more for Epstein’s victims than anyone before him.”
The statement followed Ritchson’s appearance on the Happy Sad Confused podcast, where he strongly criticized Trump’s approach to the Epstein files. The actor accused the president of failing to prioritize transparency and called for immediate release of all documents related to the late financier’s criminal case. Ritchson also questioned the administration’s handling of Epstein’s connections to high-profile individuals.
Ritchson emphasized his belief that releasing the files is essential for holding all responsible parties accountable, regardless of political affiliations. His comments echoed public demands for greater transparency in the ongoing investigation into Epstein’s network.
Launching into his tirade, Ritchson added, “This is my politics, dude. I would railroad these fuckers. I would get those Epstein files out in two seconds. I don’t care what room they’re in, move. Give me the fucking manila envelope. I will get you the Epstein files. I don’t care what party they’re in, bitch, move. Give me the damn files. We deserve to know what’s in there so that we can hold people accountable. These rapists!”
Trump has consistently denied allegations of inappropriate conduct connected to Epstein.
While there has been significant legal and political fallout in the U.K. since the release of the files in 2025 and 2026, there have been no related arrests in the U.S. to date.
