Russia’s FSB has charged Telegram founder Pavel Durov with aiding terrorism, adding him to an international wanted list.
Telegram’s administration has not removed «numerous channels, chats, and bots» actively used by Russian intelligence and extremist groups to organize sabotage, terrorism, and cybercrime, per FSB statements.
The Federal Security Service (FSB), Russia’s principal domestic security agency, reinforced its claims against the app.
Amidst growing restrictions on Telegram in Russia, Durov denies allegations, asserting authorities created false pretexts to suppress privacy and free speech rights.
