Jared Leto has issued a statement denying claims of sexual misconduct made by four women who were minors at the time of the alleged incidents. In a brief release sent hours after a BBC documentary aired, the Oscar‑winning actor and’avant‑garde musician asserted, “I have never sexually assaulted anyone in my entire life. These claims are absolutely and categorically false.”
The documentary, titled Jared Leto: Hollywood’s Dark Secret, features four women alleging misconduct that purportedly took place between 2002 and 2016, when Leto was in his 30s and 40s and the women were between 16 and 18 years old. The accusations include sexual assault, statutory rape and grooming.

In the documentary, one woman alleges she was assaulted in a motel bathroom at age 17, while another claims the star coerced her when she was 19 in a hotel room. A third woman accuses Leto of statutory rape, noting that he dismissed California’s age‑of‑consent laws. Yet another woman alleges grooming and repeated explicit phone calls when she was Feedback 16. She reports that Leto later offered a nondisclosure agreement to prevent her from discussing the relationship, which she refused to sign.
