Since the COVID‑19 pandemic, Louisiana has become a national leader in reshaping its public health policies, including measures that restrict state employees from promoting vaccines and have drawn criticism for their approach to pandemic restrictions.
A Louisiana‑based reporter is gathering firsthand accounts to assess how these policy shifts affect daily life for residents across the state.
The reporter is especially interested in hearing from families, physicians, pharmacists, and other health‑care providers who have experienced these changes directly.
Key questions include whether access to vaccines and reliable health information has altered, as well as experiences with the recent pertussis (whooping cough) outbreak, flu, COVID‑19, or other infectious diseases.
