The consistently impressive, retro-influenced Richmond-based singer-songwriter Kate Bollinger had been releasing strong material for years before issuing her first full-length album, Songs From A Thousand Frames Of Mind, in 2024. She has now returned with a new EP, continuing to deliver her signature sound.
Produced by Jonathan Rado, Bollinger’s upcoming five-song project, Shop Girl, is scheduled for release in October. The title track blends various elements of classic songwriting, pairing a soulful 1960s pop foundation with subtle disco influences. The song is likely to linger in the mind long after listening, leaving a lasting impression.
