Experimental pop pioneers A.G. Cook and Danny L Harle are revisiting their creative origins. Long before co-founding the influential PC Music collective and shaping the sound of superstars like Charli XCX and Caroline Polachek, the duo collaborated under the moniker Dux Content. While Cook continues to work closely with Charli XCX—recently scoring her film The Moment and contributing to her forthcoming LP Music, Fashion, Film—and Harle follows the success of his album Cerulean, the two are now looking back 14 years to their formative work.
The duo’s partnership began in their teenage years, leading to the 2012 self-release of their debut album, Lifestyle. To commemorate the 13th anniversary of PC Music, Lifestyle has been officially remastered and reissued. This special edition features two previously unreleased bonus tracks: “Business Class,” which has never seen a formal release, and “Rouge,” a track that has existed only on YouTube for the past 14 years. The reissue offers a compelling look at the early evolutionary stages of the hyperpop sound. Listen below.
The Lifestyle reissue is available now via PC Music.
