AC/DC opened their 2026 North American “PWR/UP” tour in North Carolina with a powerful 21‑song set that blended their most iconic hits with selections from their latest record. The launch, which followed a show in Charlotte on Saturday, July 11, showcased the band’s enduring energy and solidified the tour’s reputation as a must‑see for rock fans.
The concert, held in a sold‑out venue, began with the high‑octane opener “If You Want Blood (You’ve Got It)” from 1979’s Highway to Hell. Following that, the crowd heard fan favorites such as “Back in Black,” “Highway to Hell,” and “Thunderstruck,” before the band transitioned into newer material with “Shot in the Dark” and “Demon Fire” from their 2020 album Power Up.
In addition to the ancient classics, the setlist included titles from the 1980 release Back in Black that the band and audiences have loved for decades. The show culminated with a rousing rendition of “T.N.T.” and the anthemic “For Those About to Rock (*”, indicating the band’s commitment to delivering a full, theatrical experience.

Guitarist Angus Young said the album was “guided by the vision” of his late brother Malcolm. Vocalist Brian Johnson highlighted the record’s power in contrast to current mainstream trends, emphasizing the enduring strength of rock ’n’ roll.
