Adam Lambert has announced a series of live shows across the UK, Europe, and North America, celebrating the release of his new solo album, ‘ADAM’. The Grammy-nominated singer and current Queen vocalist unveiled his sixth studio record last week, alongside the powerful lead single ‘Eat U Alive’. The album is slated for release on July 10 through his own label, distributed by The Orchard.
The album release shows will commence on July 10 at The Bellwether in Los Angeles, followed by a performance at the Brooklyn Paramount in New York. Lambert will then head to Europe for concerts at London’s Roundhouse and Berlin’s Uber Eats Music Hall. Pre-sale tickets are currently available, with general sale scheduled for Friday, May 15, at 10 am local time.
Lambert stated that for ‘ADAM’, he aims to “embrace more elements of ‘90s alternative and electronica than ever before,” hoping to blend various genres to achieve a timeless sound. He described ‘Eat U Alive’ as “the perfect primer into my next musical chapter,” drawing inspiration from 1990s and 2000s artists including Nine Inch Nails, Björk, Prince, Muse, Goldfrapp, Daft Punk, George Michael, and Massive Attack.
Reflecting on the album’s themes, Lambert shared that it “explores both the light and shade of life and the razor’s edge that separates a positive experience from a negative one.” He expressed hope that the songs will resonate with anyone navigating “the confusing but necessary process of self-acceptance.” He added, “There was a real liberation in acknowledging my own weaknesses and strengths. Accepting the bad and the good all together. Revolutionary for someone who always thought of himself as a perfectionist and idealist.”
This new album marks Lambert’s first release of original music since his critically acclaimed Broadway debut in Cabaret at the Kit Kat Club two years ago.
