Fightful Select reports that current AEW World Champion Will Ospreay holds exclusive rights to the United Empire faction name, which grants him the authority to utilize it within AEW.
The report further states that Ospreay secured a trademark for United Empire in April with assistance from legal professionals. Additionally, it explains that AEW must establish its own branding for the Bang Bang Gang following a departure from Bullet Club Gold due to joint ownership by NJPW.
Having introduced United Empire to AEW, Ospreay indicated an intent to build the group’s roster. “Speedball” Mike Bailey and NJPW affiliate Francesco Akira were among the first to accept the challenge of joining.
