AEW Superstar Admits to Bodily Accident During All Out 2023 Match

AEW star Austin Gunn has admitted that he may have literally left everything he had in the ring during a match at AEW All Out 2023, including his bowels. Instances of professional wrestlers experiencing gastrointestinal accidents during or after a match are not uncommon, often resulting from the extreme physical demands of the sport or underlying illness.

One of the most prominent examples involves CM Punk, who previously disclosed that he suffered a similar incident during a WWE match against Dean Ambrose in 2013, attributing it to medication and illness affecting his stomach.

John Cena has also publicly discussed experiencing an accident during a match due to food poisoning, while the legendary Steve Austin recounted suffering a similar mishap during a match against Yokozuna while touring South Africa.

Gunn’s recent confession adds to this collection of notorious bodily malfunctions in professional wrestling.

Austin Gunn Recalls Bodily Accident During His AEW All Out 2023 Match

During a recent appearance on the What Happened When podcast, Gunn recounted experiencing severe stomach issues during the eight-man tag team match at All Out 2023. The match featured The Gunns (Austin and Colten Gunn) teaming with Jay White and Juice Robinson against FTR and The Young Bucks.

“I had stomach problems during this match. I think I pooped my pants this match,” Austin said (H/T: Fightful Select).

He specifically noted that taking a superplex followed by a 450 splash brought his stomach problems to a breaking point. The situation was so severe that Austin believed he had to discard the gear he wore during the match.

“It does happen, especially with these four jumping on top of you. I’m not kidding, I think I had to throw away this gear. It’s an awesome moment,” Gunn said.

He even joked that this particular story would likely overshadow everything else he discussed during his podcast appearance.

“Watch the only thing that’s going to be clipped from this podcast is that I pooped my pants. Not all the progress we’ve been doing. Not all the good things we do. ‘Austin Gunn says he poops his pants!’ ‘I guess they are technically a** boys,” Gunn added.
