Dubbed Operation Jackal IV, the initiative ran from November 2025 to June 2026 and identified 263 suspects. It exposed fraud schemes involving cryptocurrency, email compromise, money laundering and sextortion, including the victimisation of minors. In South Africa, authorities apprehended 39 suspects, raided seven locations and confiscated $2.67 million, while also freezing 257 bank accounts tied to the syndicate. Interpol said the operation underscores the expanding global influence of groups such as Black Axe and highlights the need for international collaboration to disrupt their financial flows. Black Axe remains a clandestine network engaged in human trafficking, prostitution and lethal violence worldwide.
