A man from Alabama died while attempting to hide the body of his ex-partner after allegedly killing her via strangulation, according to official reports.
Daniel Robbins, 44, and Jessica Folds, 47, were discovered deceased in a wooded area near Lanett on 10 June, as per Chambers County Sheriff’s Department findings.
Authorities recovered both bodies in close proximity to a non-functioning vehicle. Autopsy results confirmed Folds’ death resulted from strangulation, with Robbins reportedly sustaining a fatal heart attack during the disposal process.
Investigators determined the incident occurred during a domestic violence episode. The vehicle near the remains was still running with an open driver’s door when responding officers arrived, indicating recent abandonment.
Folds, described in her obituary as a compassionate woman who “touched the lives of many,” leaves behind three adult sons. Robbins’ surviving daughter is the sole direct heir mentioned in his obituary.
