A buffalo with an unusually blond tuft of hair is attracting attention after being compared to former U.S. President Donald Trump.
The rare albino animal, nicknamed “Donald Trump,” has become a sensation at Bangladesh’s national zoo, where visitors gather to see its distinctive appearance.
The buffalo first caught the eye of a local farmer, who shared a video that quickly went viral on social media, prompting people to visit a farm outside Dhaka where the animal was initially kept.

The animal was originally slated for slaughter during Eid al‑Adha, but government officials intervened and arranged for its transfer to the capital’s zoo.
Since its arrival, the buffalo has drawn large crowds and sparked discussion over the nickname.
“There is a resemblance to Donald Trump in its eyes, hairstyle, and skin color,” said Mohammed Nasim, a Dhaka student, to the Associated Press. “Just as Trump is known for his distinctive personality, this buffalo is now enjoying a lot of attention.”
Local media noted that an initial sign identified the animal as “Donald Trump,” though the label has since been removed.
The zoo’s curator was later dismissed, though officials have not provided a reason.
Visitors continue to photograph and film the buffalo, while some locals argue that naming an animal after a political figure is inappropriate.
“Giving a farm animal the name of one of the world’s most influential leaders was certainly the wrong thing to do,” said resident Mohammad Joynal Adedin. “It seems disrespectful, and the farmer made a poor decision.”
