Manchester United manager Michael Carrick is widely expected to leave Amad Diallo out of the starting lineup for the Champions League trip to Como.
United have made a disappointing start to the campaign, recording only two victories from their opening 10 matches in all competitions.
The club’s hierarchy continues to support Carrick, although a prolonged run of poor results could lead them to reconsider his position.
Carrick is expected to make several changes against Como, including one on the right flank that would return Amad to the bench.
The Ivory Coast international has offered little attacking threat in recent appearances, while his crossing has also fallen below his usual standard. He appears to be struggling for confidence.
Bryan Mbeumo, who has led the line in recent matches, could start on the right against Como, with Matheus Cunha operating as the central striker.
United will travel to Como aiming to end a six-match winless streak.
