DUBAI/MILAN: Jordanian‑Romanian footwear designer Amina Muaddi was seen throughout a lineup of shows at Milan Fashion Week, appearing on stages ranging from Ferragamo to The Attico.

On the coveted front row, she surveyed each fashion house’s Spring/Summer 2027 runway collections, presenting Muaddi’s own creations across the displays.

Ferragamo unveiled a contrast between past and sensuality, driven by creative director Maximilian Davis who reinterpreted 1940s feminine architecture through a softer, more intimate lens. The looks feature high‑waisted tailoring, defined waists, oversized pockets, and double‑belts rendered in sheer fabrics, drapey scarves, and sequins accented by translucent rubber—a nod to Salvatore Ferragamo’s iconic F‑wedge from 1947.

The Attico celebrated its tenth anniversary with a focus on privacy and hidden selves. Under artistic direction by Gilda Ambrosio and Giorgia Tordini, the show was staged around rows of bedrooms to echo the collection’s nocturnal mood. Rows of crumpled textiles, dressing gowns, rich velvet, military tailoring, and exaggerated shoulders produced deliberately imperfect, lived‑in silhouettes that honor evolving identities over static aesthetics.

Simultaneously, New York legend Jennifer Lopez commanded the Dolce & Gabbana runway, occupying a front‑row seat in a dark velvet suit accompanied by a matching cap and equestrian‑style boots.

Her palette reflected the house’s Sicilian heritage as a legacy to be refreshed—turning family heirlooms into contemporary statements. The collection features leopard‑trimmed nubby tweed suits, youthful bloomers and tops cut from checked tablecloth prints paired with sheer stockings, and delicate lace slips embellished with fringe and beads.

Even nostalgic crocheted doilies became demure skirts and dresses for the audience, blending tradition with modern trend. Outside the showroom, fans displayed signs for K‑pop idol Choi San and Japanese actor Hikaru Iwamoto, but the chorus clearly reverberated “J‑Lo,” capturing the excitement as guests streamed away from the runway.
