Amundi has acquired a 9.9% economic stake in alternatives asset manager ICG for approximately €620 million ($711.4 million), as part of a long-term strategic and equity partnership.

The partnership agreement was finalized in November 2025.

Under the 10-year arrangement, Amundi will serve as the exclusive global distributor for ICG’s evergreen products and select offerings within the wealth channel.

Amundi CEO Valérie Baudson stated: “Our partnership with ICG represents a significant advancement in Amundi’s private markets strategy. By combining ICG’s leading capabilities with Amundi’s global reach and deep understanding of individual client needs, we will expand access to private market solutions for wealth investors worldwide.”

“This collaboration creates a strong foundation for innovation, focused on developing new products tailored to investors’ evolving needs while driving sustainable, long-term growth for all stakeholders.”

In return, ICG will act as the exclusive supplier of these products to Amundi’s distribution business.

The agreement also encompasses joint product development targeting wealth investors, with the initial offering centered on private equity secondaries slated for launch in the coming weeks.

ICG CEO and Chief Investment Officer Benoît Durteste commented: “We are pleased that Amundi has acquired a 9.9% economic stake in ICG, consistent with our long-term strategic partnership announced in November 2025. Our teams are actively collaborating on wealth-market-appropriate products, and we eagerly anticipate launching the first of these in the coming weeks.”

“This marks the first step in realizing the commercial benefits of our partnership, which integrates ICG’s leading investment expertise with Amundi’s strength in wealth and pensions. We have already identified numerous opportunities to deepen our collaboration over the long term.”
