An 8-year-old Arizona boy celebrating his birthday at Disneyland was presented with an unforgettable surprise when he was named the park’s honorary 1,000,000,000th guest during a special ceremony at the Main Street USA train station platform.
Andres Robles and his family, who traveled from Arizona, were greeted by Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse as they helped unveil an updated sign declaring the park’s population as 1,000,000,000.

Following the announcement, Robles and his family enjoyed a VIP tour, which included a visit to Walt Disney’s private apartment, an exclusive preview of the newly opened Soarin’ Across America attraction, and other special experiences.
Disneyland Resort President Jill Estorino emphasized the significance of the milestone, stating, “Welcoming our one billionth guest is a remarkable milestone for Disneyland Resort and a testament to the generations of guests who have made this special place part of their lives.”
“For more than 70 years, Walt’s original park has been a timeless symbol of Disney storytelling, where memories are made and shared, and we are honored to carry that legacy forward for guests today and for generations to come,” Estorino added.
Andres Robles and his family helped unveil a new Main Street USA sign that reads “Population 1,000,000,000” following his designation as the honorary billionth guest.
The milestone aligns with Disneyland Resort’s ongoing celebration of its 70th anniversary and coincides with the approaching 250th anniversary of the United States.
Disneyland Resort has maintained its commitment to Walt Disney’s vision of creating a welcoming space where families can share joyful experiences together. Since its opening on July 17, 1955, the Anaheim-based destination has expanded to include Disneyland Park, Disney California Adventure Park, three hotels, and the Downtown Disney District.
Mickey Mouse and Minnie Mouse welcomed Andres Robles as he was honored as the park’s one billionth guest during the special ceremony.
The resort’s legacy has inspired the global expansion of Disney-themed destinations, embodying Walt Disney’s belief that “Disneyland will never be completed. It will continue to grow as long as there is imagination left in the world.”
