According to the US Marshals Service, influencer brothers Andrew and Tristan Tate were taken into custody by federal agents in Miami this Saturday.
Specific charges have not yet been disclosed. Brady McCarron, a spokesperson for the Marshals Service, noted that the arrest warrant remains sealed.
A source familiar with the case, speaking on the condition of anonymity due to the sensitive nature of the investigation, indicated the arrest was made in response to an extradition request from the United Kingdom.
The brothers, who maintain massive social media followings as prominent figures of hypermasculinity, are wanted in the UK facing allegations of rape and human trafficking.
