Ann Widdecombe, a prominent former Conservative minister and key figure in Reform UK, has passed away at the age of 78.
Her representatives, Cloud 9 Management, confirmed her passing in a statement: “It is with great sadness that today we announce the death of The Right Honourable Ann Widdecombe, DSG.” They expressed condolences to her family and friends.
Throughout her decades-long political career, Widdecombe served as an MP for Maidstone in Kent for 23 years before becoming a prominent spokesperson for Reform UK.
Beyond politics, she gained public recognition as a runner-up on *Celebrity Big Brother* in 2018 and as a contestant on *Strictly Come Dancing*.
