All Elite Wrestling star Anna Jay has provided fans with an update regarding the shoulder injury that has caused her recent absence from the promotion.
Speaking during a recent Twitch stream, Jay explained that she is currently unsure of the full extent of the injury and is consulting with medical professionals to determine the best course of action.
“Yes, the injury thing is true. I don’t really know the extent of it,” Jay stated (via Fightful). “I’m going to a few doctors right now just to get everything checked out, just to get a few different opinions so I make the right choice. But hopefully it’s not as bad as it possibly can be. It could be okay.
“My injury is related to my shoulder, which I’ve had some issues with in the past, so that’s why I just want to get a few different opinions and hopefully it’ll be okay. Also, people say, ‘She’s always injured,’ but I’ve only had two injuries while at AEW—my shoulder and my ribs being dislocated. That’s it.”
The injury was previously confirmed by AEW President Tony Khan during an AEW Redemption media call. Khan noted that the shoulder issue is the reason for her time away from the ring. During the same call, Khan also addressed speculation regarding her future with the company, confirming that Jay has extended her contract with AEW.
