Anya Taylor-Joy is cementing her status as one of the most in-demand performers in the industry. After delivering the first billion-dollar film of 2026 and preparing to return to Arrakis before the year ends, the actress now has three major projects drawing significant audiences on streaming platforms at the same time.

The Super Mario Galaxy Movie, The Gorge, and Lucky are all performing strongly, giving Taylor-Joy simultaneous hits across both film and television. A fourth project is set to join the queue in just a few weeks.

Lucky has become a breakout hit for Apple TV+. The seven-episode crime thriller debuted at No. 1 in the United States, dethroning Silo from the top position. In the series, Taylor-Joy portrays a con artist who believed she had left her dangerous past behind — until that past resurfaces with a vengeance.

Meanwhile, The Gorge has maintained a long tail of viewership since its Apple TV+ debut in 2025. In the sci-fi action feature, Taylor-Joy shares the screen with Miles Teller (Top Gun: Maverick) in a story that has continued to attract audiences well into 2026.

Rounding out the triple hit is The Super Mario Galaxy Movie. Taylor-Joy reprises her role as Princess Peach in the animated sequel, which became the first film released in 2026 to cross the $1 billion threshold at the worldwide box office before transitioning to home streaming.

What’s Next for Taylor-Joy

Taylor-Joy’s momentum shows no sign of slowing. Her next release, Sacrifice, lands on Netflix in the United States and France on October 16. The film sees her opposite Chris Evans, with the storyline involving a group that crashes an elite charity gala on a Greek island and takes Evans’ character — a struggling movie star — hostage. The pair’s ordeal takes a dramatic turn when their plan leads them to an active volcano.

Evans (Avengers: Endgame) and Taylor-Joy (Furiosa) are joined by a notable ensemble cast including Vincent Cassel (Black Swan), Salma Hayek Pinault (House of Gucci), John Malkovich (Con Air), Sam Richardson (Veep), Ambika Mod (One Day), Charli XCX, and Yung Lean. The film is directed by Romain Gavras (Athena) and was shot across Greece, Bulgaria, and Iceland — the latter chosen specifically to secure an active volcano for the climactic sequence.

Beyond Sacrifice, Taylor-Joy will also appear in Dune: Part Three, which is scheduled for a theatrical release later this year.
